Hello There! My name is Lisa and I am the crafter and designer behind The Boho Barn. It all began in 2012 when I decided to entertain event planning and décor with a small business I named Stellar Soirée (see some of my work here). For seven years, I enjoyed designing a variety of event décor, and centerpieces, and crafting up some cool and unique favors, all while still working my 9-5 and being a mom.  It was all a dream, that one day, my kids would be older and I could leave my day job and start my own wedding planning business. After years of coordinating events for family and friends, I began to feel those big extravagant affairs just weren’t enough for me. How could big not be enough? I was changing, and appreciating the deeper sense of connection and the warmth that could only be attained from more intimate gatherings. I loved the feeling I got when I could sit back and watch others bond over the table settings and dreamy creations I made.

In 2019, I was engaged to my now husband. My husband and I are hippie souls. Our perfect downtime is to venture out into the country to search for some artsy and unique things to do. Coffee, nature, country, and farm life, are all simple things that we enjoy. We both share the same love for aesthetics. It was a no-brainer we were having the glam barn wedding of our dreams but first, I had to plan the perfect bridesmaids proposal for my favorite ladies. But first, a pandemic.

Our wedding was planned for 2021, so I kept busy while in quarantine, putting my all into every detail needed to make it the sweetest proposal. October was our birthday, so I thought why not celebrate these ladies on my birthday? I found it fitting to have a Bohemian “Bride Tribe” Brunch.  I searched all over for an event planner to help me with the vision, but none were close or offered this style of setup (crazy right?), so I took matters into my own hands. My husband and I designed and built a low-profile table and I ordered my first tent. I gathered all the decorative items, some old and some new, and. it all came together on 10/10/2020. Beautiful photos were captured by my photographer friend, and all who caught a glimpse of the event encouraged me to re-visit my passion for event design. That’s when The Boho Barn was born.

The Boho Barn concept is not just to deliver a setup, but to invoke an unforgettable aesthetic so clients are inviting guests to a unique experience. We are extremely passionate and detail oriented when it comes to our presentation and we are confident our work will soon be the talk of the town.
