One theme appeared throughout the conversation more than many expected: for countless residents, the best burger isn’t served by any restaurant at all.
Many said their favorite burger comes straight off a backyard charcoal grill, cooked by a parent, grandparent, spouse, or friend. It was a reminder that, for many Staten Islanders, great food is often connected to family traditions just as much as flavor.
