To launch our new Community Favorites series, we asked members of the Staten Island Neighbors community a simple question:
Who has the best pizza on Staten Island?
Hundreds of residents shared their recommendations, highlighting longtime neighborhood institutions, family-owned pizzerias, and hidden gems across the borough. While there was no unanimous winner, several restaurants stood out with repeated recommendations from community members.
Whether you’re searching for a classic New York-style slice, a crispy tavern pie, a Sicilian square, or a specialty pie, these are some of the pizza spots Staten Islanders recommended most.

🍕 Denino’s Pizzeria & Tavern
A Staten Island institution for generations, Denino’s was one of the community’s most frequently recommended pizzerias. Many residents praised its classic thin-crust pies and traditional pizzeria experience.

Brothers received an overwhelming number of recommendations, with many community members specifically mentioning its popular Sicilian pizza.

One of the newer favorites to emerge in recent years, Pizza Giove earned numerous recommendations from residents throughout the community.

Ciro’s received consistent praise from community members, with many calling it one of Staten Island’s best-kept pizza traditions.
